Should this start from educational institutions where counsellors/psychologists could detect abnormal signs of potential mass shooters?
Any concerned opinions or ideas are appreciated.|||Actually, that sounds like a really great idea. Schools have the most access to the kids! The only problem is that we live in such a litigious society– and the schools could suffer major ramifications for *missing* a sign in their yearly evaluation.
Currently, they are not responsible if a child injures another child… but if they took on the added responsibility of evaluating the metal stability of a child– well– who's going to get blamed? and sued? and publically criticized?
I like your idea- I just see a place where it could fail.|||never would work, because we all have the potental to have temporary insanity, and people who have mental illnesses for many years are usually less harmless than people who are fully functional but just decide to "go nuts" and shoot people. It's us normal people who are the scary ones.|||It will be just more things to get the government involved in. more loss of our freedoms. Doctors and Psychologist will love it and they will do whatever it takes to make alot of money and meet higher quotas.|||You have to start earlier than that, but then again these kinds of things are hard to pin point. I really dont think it would work personally.
