Detection, genetic screening and diagnostics. Basically: blood testing, CT scans, ultra sounds, abnormal indicators in other %26quot;normal%26quot; life occurances (ie, changes in the menstrual cycle). Unusual pain, swelling, a palpable mass etc- are further signs. BRCA1 and BRCA2 breast/ovarian cancer susceptibility genes can be screened for with blood sampling.
