Symptoms, cure,medicines, preventions.|||Hi Joven

Here is a strategy on the process of healing.

Quick Action Plan for Prostate Cancer

1. Since prostate cancer is easier to prevent rather than treat, your most important choice is that of prevention.

2. Undergo prostate screening annually from the age of 50 on, or younger if you have a family history of prostate cancer. Utilize both conventional and non conventional styles of testing procedures.

3. If family history indicates prostate cancer, or if you are faced with an autoimmune disease, take extra precaution with the following suggestions, and look carefully into the subject of Vasectomy, as this procedure could aggravate your already higher risk for prostate cancer.

4. Engage in life supporting and anti-stress solutions to relieve tightness surrounding the prostate gland, such as yoga, massage and acupuncture. Avoid tight underclothing and pants. Wear your belt buckle off to the side, and avoid nickel.

5. Engage in an enjoyable exercise routine that you do 3-5 days per week. Experiment with Yoga, Qi Gong or Tai Chi. Movement that strengthens and relaxes the body, rather than constricts, is an essential element to maintaining prostate health.

6. Make positive diet changes, eliminating conventional, processed and fast foods, toxic fats and oils, and inorganic diary and protein sources. Eat organic whenever possible. Start eating a whole foods diet, eating an abundant selection of raw and lightly steamed vegetables, raw fruits and clean protein sources, along with fresh juices, whole grains, and soaked nuts and seeds.

7. Use purified water both internally and when bathing, and drink at least ½ your weight in ounces of quality water daily.

8. Rather than coffee, choose green tea containing 710 ECGC, and other non-caffeinated herb teas as a powerful anti-oxidant drink. Sip throughout the day. To read more visit: www.greenteahaus.com

9. Consider a Colon Cleanse; read through the excellent version found under Detoxification on the Natural Cures web site.

10. Start on a quality supplement and herb program as suggested above, and preferably, personalized by a qualified alternative therapist. Also, try Flower Essences and/or Aromatherapy.

11. Engage in alternative therapies, such as Energy Medicine, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, and bodywork. Additionally, find a qualified alternative practitioner such as a Naturopathic or Osteopathic Doctor to support every aspect of your newfound commitment to health and healing.

Best of health to you

Cheers|||I found some good info here.

Not sure what the question here is, but my dad was diagnosed with it a year ago; takes casodex, had radiation therapy, and gets hormones injections every 3 months. Doc said very curable if caught early, but my dad waited forever to see a doctor. He found out he had it bacause his right hand was numb all the time; turns out the prostate cancer had sent out %26quot;satellite cells%26quot;, and a tumor formed in his neck and was pressing aginst his spine.

Now a year later, it%26#039;s back and he%26#039;s going to the doctor this week to find out what he has to do.

Good luck…|||just like any other cancer: deadly.|||Yeah. Whats the question?|||Something us men folk get Like old Merv G. Now I hve read and I think the jury is still out on it right now but that some of it is caused frm a build up of seamen. Now if the wife or Gf out there understood that it might bring it down some. They are doing studies on it. Personnel I%26#039;m not one to hve my prostate probed. Hate the yrly anyway but I know it has to be, but I still don%26#039;t like it.

How does it affect a man%26#039;s ability to have children?|||The Prostate gland is the pump which pumps urine and semen out of the male organ.

I%26#039;d suggest you ask this question on Web MD or a reliable hospital web site such as Johns Hopkins or the Mayo Clinic.|||it really depends, most prostate cancer occurs in men well after wanting children, are you dating a sixty year old guy…if not I wouldn%26#039;t worry to much, younger men can have prostatitis which is common and doesn%26#039;t affect fertility usually…

If you have prostate cancer, you may want to try these before you let them try the usual mutilation.

http://geocities.com/cure.cancer/|||what about it?|||Yes, what about it?????|||What is the Prostate?

The prostate is a sex gland in men that is located in the abdomen below the bladder at the base of the penis in front of the rectum. It is normally about the size of a golf ball and wraps completely around the urethra, or the tube that runs from the bladder through the penis. What it does is manufacture prostatic fluid, an alkaline fluid which regulates the acidity of semen and protects it from the acids in the reproductive tract of the female. It also acts as a pump during the male orgasm forcing semen in the urethra and doubles as a valve directing both urine and sperm. Not vital organ to live but quite a vital organ for “normal” life.

So what is Cancer?

Cancer is a term that doesn%26#039;t describe a single disease but a group of diseases. These diseases do share one common trait though of uncontrolled cell growth and division. Cell growth and division are controlled by the DNA in each cell. Just about every cell in you body is in a continuous life and death cycle with new cells replacing the old (only exceptions is within the heart and brain) in a process called cellular replication. Normally, the cells in an adult generate just enough new cells to replace the old cells. Basically when a cell that behaves abnormally and “cancerous” it doesn’t stop replicating itself, causing abnormal growth and tumors. Cancerous cells stop performing their original specialized functions and become parasites in the body, consuming energy normally reserved for the normal cells. Cancer spreads when these cancer cells break away from the tumor and enter the bloodstream or lymphatic system. These cells can lodge themselves in another part of the body and continue to replicate causing new tumor growth. Cancer is defined by the place of origination, so if it originates in the prostate, it is called prostate cancer. If it spreads to other areas it is called metastatic prostate cancer.

Prostate Cancer

Oddly though, prostate cancer is the one of the “better” cancers to get. Cancers grow at different speeds and the time it takes for to double, or for the cells to increase by 100 percent. Prostate cancer is slow growing, taking years to replicate and double enough to cause symptoms. If it detected early enough it is treatable and there is an excellent chance it can be cured. Treatment techniques are also continually being refined to have less side effects and even if it has spread beyond curing, there are current therapies and drugs to extend life beyond five plus years.

You could have a bladder infection or something. Just tell your parents about it or your dad if you are nervous about telling your mum and ask them to take you to your doctor.|||If you have had sex you might have VD or STD. Tell you parents and they will take you to a Doctor……….

Then you need to tell your parents………….and go to a Doctor….|||- the Doctor boy, get ! ! !|||Leakage at your age is normal. Just forget about it or buy some extra insulated pads so it can soak uup leakage and then you wont stain the sponge bob boxers.|||If your worried about prostate cancer, don%26#039;t. But if it makes you feel better, I suppose you could have the doctor %26quot;give you the glove%26quot;. It%26#039;s really not as horrible as it sounds. It goes in easy, it only pokes around for a few seconds, then it%26#039;s over. The only problem is it tends to be cold. The lube, that is. Have a good one.

I have found that prostate cancer is predominate in blacks not because of their skin color, but relative to the physical wrok done as slaves. Most balcks are natural built with more muscle mass than whites and the prostate cancer rate can be traced to the deterioration of muscle mass over a period of time. Other factors include weight gain and the increase of the human life span with respect to sexuality. There is a relationship between sexual aggression and the loss of muscle mass and prostate cancer this also is demonstrated with people have sexual impotency problem having a low prostate cancer rate. Also people using steriods will have a high prostate cancer rate because of the relative decrease in muscle mass.|||Interesting thoughts, but here are some more likely possibilities:

1) Simple genetics has a lot to do with prostate cancer. Regardless of race, you are more likely to have it if a close relative (father or brother) has it. This may explain nearly all ethnic variance in PCa.

2) Vitamin D deficiency has been suggested as a possible contributor. Internal production of vitamin D is corellated to melatonin.

3) Diet has a great deal to do with it. High fat diet, red meats, all have positive corellation.

4) Higher poverty rate, which implies less access to health care.

5) PCa isn%26#039;t related to muscle mass or potency, but is related to testosterone level. I don%26#039;t know of any studies on relative testosterone levels by race.|||A lot of diseases are more prevalent in blacks. It is just the nature of things. Your theory is hogwash.

My father in law (FiL) had surgery 6 months ago for prostate cancer. His prostate was enlarged %26amp; had some kind of cancerous cells. He had a transurethral prostate resection (TURP) %26amp; didn%26#039;t require ANY chemotherapy or radiotherapy. He went back to work (desk job) a fortnight later.

FiL was an avid golfer, playing at least one round a week for many, many years. But around time of diagnosis, he leant his golf clubs to my husband (who had leant his clubs to someone else) %26amp; ever since, FiL%26#039;s clubs have been sitting in our back yard. I keep prompting husband to return them to FiL but husband gets angry, stating [FiL] %26quot;has had cancer and there%26#039;s no way he can play golf!%26quot;

Both husband, MiL %26amp; FiL don%26#039;t talk much - especially about things like cancer - so finding out the actual details is like getting blood from a stone. But as a nurse I%26#039;ve looked after cancer patients/TURPs who get back to normal duties within days and can start playing golf soon after.

Will FiL will never play?|||This isn%26#039;t really something that someone without seeing him can tell. Be happy he isn%26#039;t playing golf anymore, golf is ghey.|||Take the clubs back to your FIL yourself and get him back on the golf course. My father also played golf three times a week. He also had prostate surgery AND a heart attacjk with triple bypass. It NEVER stopped him from playing golf. He lived for 23 more years and happily played golf whenever possible.

If your husband notices the missing clubs, tell him, %26quot;Oh, I thought you forgot so I took them back to your dad.%26quot; and then just smile and walk away. Not much he can do once the deed is done.

Get your FIL back out into the sunshine and exercise!! He doesn%26#039;t need to be sitting on his butt doing nothing in his older years.~|||no co relation|||Perhaps you could find some printed material on activities acceptable or allowed after surgery/cancer(specifically prostate cancer if you can find it) and leave them for or show them to your husband. Or maybe you could mention you have noticed to your FiL that he doesn%26#039;t play golf anymore or ask him to teach you? recommend a support group?? Your husband may be having difficulties dealing with his father%26#039;s illness, especially prostate cancer(it could be a male specific issue), it reminds us of our parent%26#039;s and our own mortality. Never an easy thought. I commend you on your concern and hope this helps. God Bless|||Could you call MiL and say you are tidying up the yard and saw the clubs - is it OK if you bring them over? Then if there is some reason that FiL will really not be able to play, she can just say no.

On the face of it there is no reason why FiL shouldn%26#039;t play golf, but you haven%26#039;t been able to get much out of them. The last thing you want to do is take the clubs back without checking and find you have just reminded FiL of the beloved sport he has been told he can no longer do.|||Does it really matter if your FIL can ever play again?. The clubs belong to him and your husband is being child like by not returning them.
